Ashtanga Yoga Retreat - Yelapa, Mexico
February 27-March 6, 2010

What costs are not included?  Airfare and alcohol, cab to pier ($25.00) and water taxi ($12.00).

Accommodations at Hotel Lagunita, nestled in between the Sierra Madre Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Stay in open air palapas with large stone showers, and a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean (Bay of Banderas). Hotel Lagunita is not a “spa” but does offer massage and other amenities.

Meals are delicious local Mexican food (fresh fish and meat are available for carnivores ;) and are eaten under a large palapa with no walls, on the beach with an ocean view.

Ashtanga Yoga practice every morning and afternoon workshops on most days.

Daily Schedule:

	8:30 – 10:30 Practice (practices will vary between led primary / secondary / Mysore)
	10:30 – 11:30 Breakfast
	11:30 – 6:00 Beach time / pool / walk to town of yelapa self study / reading / journaling
	Mid-day Main meal is anytime between 12:00-3:00
	6:00 afternoon workshop (no afternoon session on excursion days)
	7:00 light supper – Social time

Bring books and study “stuff”. Yelapa is set back in time, there are no cars—you can only access it by boat. Last year there was still no cell phone signal there and only dial up internet available. You can use this time to dis-connect from the energy drains that life can put upon us and deepen your yoga practice.

How to get here!

**YOU NEED A PASSPORT**
Fly from Harrisburg to Puerto Vallarta (MDT to PVR) approx. $650.00
Try to arrive PVR prior to 2pm (do NOT route through Mexico City), this will allow you plenty of time to get the water taxi to Yelapa.  Once in the airport get your luggage and go directly to taxi stand.  Take a taxi to Las Muertos Pier.  Look for Hotel Lagunita courtesy booth where you can purchase a one-way water taxi ticket to Yelapa (do not purchase a two-way ticket).  Board the water taxi and away you go from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallarta to beautiful, peaceful Yelapa.  This is about a 45 minute boat ride with the chance of seeing whales, manta rays, and other marine life :)  We will schedule a get together a few weeks prior to departure to review this information and travel plans.

It is preferable that you pay with a check or cash, however if you need to pay with a credit card I will make that option available on line, but I will have to charge you the 3.5% fee that paypal charges me.
