Hair Pre-Soak

Ingredients

  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup local raw honey (optional)
  • Argan oil, coconut oil OR sweet almond oil
  • 2 drops chamomile essential oil, other essential oils you could use include rosemary, sage, lavender, lemon
  • 1-2 TBSP Triphala powder
  • 1/3 cup organic yogurt

Instructions

I first work the honey into my scalp. I then pour Argan oil (or almond or coconut) into my palm and add a drop or two of chamomile essential oil. I keep the oil more toward the ends of my hair while working a little into the scalp. I wrap my hair in a bandana and let it soak for an 30 minutes to an hour before washing my hair.

To assist with washing the oil out of my hair, I mix together triphala powder and yogurt.  Work this into your hair at the scalp by parting your hair to apply it in various areas on your head, then work the paste into the length of your hair.  You can let this soak in for up to 30 minutes if you like.

I like to do this hair soak once per week. This makes my hair shiny and smooth.
