Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whole oats **organic is important to avoid oats that have been desiccated with roundup!
  • 3/4 cup milk (coconut, homemade almond or local, raw, grass-fed organic)
  • 3/4 cup water
  • Toasted almonds or pecans
  • Maple syrup
  • Cinnamon
  • Banana or baked apple

Instructions

Cook oats in water and milk until desired consistency.

While oats are simmering, toast the almonds or pecans. Heat an iron skillet to medium roast on the skillet, stirring often.

When oatmeal is done,  stir in the maple syrup and cinnamon.  Top with banana/baked apple and the roasted almonds/pecans.
